ABOUT US
We are a non-denominational, non-affiliated, non-profit church which believes in the entire Word of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the Grace of God which “brings salvation and has appeared to all men, teaching them to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;” (Titus 2:11-12)
WHAT WE DO
At the Grace Workshop Ministries, we believe in authentic worship and relevant, Bible-based messages which point people to Jesus Christ and provide a source of peace and direction.
OUR COMMUNITY
We here at the Grace Workshop believe in building authentic relationships because church is not a program, or a building, church is an “us”. We are a community of believers, centered on Christ called together as one.
Our Vision, Mission and Faith
Vision Statement
The vision of The Grace Workshop Ministries to express the fullness of Christ' character and beauty in the world, so that the glory of Jesus is revealed, disciples are formed, and His sovereign kingdom is established in the earth
Mission Statement
We endeavour to develop a Christ-centred community in which people can experience the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, and one another, and be encouraged to increasingly conform to the image of the Son of God, Jesus Christ. To this end, we endeavour to give ourselves earnestly to:
-
Sound biblical doctrine
-
Fellowship
-
Breaking of bread
-
Prayer
-
Evangelism
Statement of Faith
At The Grace Workshop Ministries, we hold the Holy Scriptures as our sole authority in matters of faith and practice. Our study and interpretation of Biblical doctrines compel us to believe in and uphold the following:
-
That the Scriptures of both the Old and New Testament are verbally inspired by God and are therefore inerrant and infallible in their original writings, serving as the supreme and final authority.
-
That there is one God eternally existing in one essence, yet co-equal persons, the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,
-
That Jesus Christ was begotten by God the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary.
-
That the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgement. He is the life of the believer and He empowers the preaching and teaching of the Gospel.
-
That mankind was created in the image of God but sinned, resulting in both physical death and spiritual death—separation from God. As a result, all human beings are born with a sinful, unregenerate nature, referred to in the New Testament as "the flesh
we believe and uphold:
-
That the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him are justified on the basis of His shed blood.
-
The resurrection of our Lord's crucified body, His ascension into heaven, and His present role there as High Priest and Advocate for us.
-
The blessed hope, which is the personal visible and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
-
All who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again through the Holy Spirit, becoming children of God and heirs of eternal life.
-
The existence of a personal devil, just as Jesus is a person and not merely a force, who has actively worked and continues to work in the world to destroy the souls of men. He, along with his angels (demons) and all who reject Christ as their personal Savior, will face eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
-
The Church, the mystical Body of Christ, consists of all who have been baptized or placed into it by the Holy Spirit, as stated in 1 Corinthians 12:13. Its mission is to preach the Gospel to the entire world and disciple those who accept it.
-
That there are two ordinances and sacraments of the church; a believer's baptism and the Lord's supper.
We are persuaded that these beliefs are defining and essential. Without them, a group cannot truly be called the "church."
We have a deep concern for believers who have been alienated from church fellowship due to injury or trauma caused by unscriptural doctrines and practices. By God's grace, we feel called and uniquely positioned to restore these wounded souls through the power of the gospel of Christ.
